Romania

Plant was commissioned  in Romania in 2005 from France where it  worked for 4 years. During the next 2 years it was refurbished and awaiting the permits for processing the material.

The plant started to function effectively at the beginning of 2007. The Slag dump contain different types of ferroalloy slag. After crushing and screening the slag in two main sizes 0-6mm and 6-25mm we separate ferroalloys from slag by jigging technology and results 3 sizes of ferroalloy 0-2mm, 2-6mm and 6-25mm.

The Jig plant works one shift. Weather is a factor due to this plant using water in the jigging process, should the temperature drop below 1 degrees celsius it cannot run. Throughput of the slag is about 60 tons per hour, average 10,000 tons per month and average 100,000 tons per year.

Recoverability is about 98% for all ferroalloy sizes for a certain percentage of metal in the slag. At present Romania plant is in an upgrading stage and construction of the new plant which will run 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Plant will be finalized by the end of 2011.
